First of all, what the heck is a Mini Lift? Botox are mainly used for cosmetic procedures mainly on age lines on the forehead and around the eye area, it basically softens the lines to make the wrinkles appear less intense than it did before. There are other facial aesthetic treatments such as Restylane & Juviderm which accomplish similar treatments. What the Mini Lift does, is uses both Botox and dermal fillers such as Juviderm in order to help the patient keep its natural expressions and features.
Many Los Angeles patients claim that they are “frozen” and without facial expression after a Botox treatment. This will normally cause a lack of expression when a patient smiles, frowns, cries, etc.
There are a few downsides to the treatment –
- it can be almost 3 times as expensive as Botox alone
- it takes up to 1 hour per treatment
- it has not been tested as long as Botox alone
